The role of the Cleveland Clinic security team is indispensable in maintaining the safety and security of caregivers and patients. A caregiver in this position works Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with occasional weekends and overtime opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of the Oho peace Office Training Academy (OPOTA)
  • Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license (VDL) and maintain eligibility of insurability to operate the organization's vehicles for emergency purposes.
  • Police and/or Law Enforcement experience.
  • United States military training and experience for Military Police (31B, 5811), Security Forces (3P0X1) or Master-at-Arms (MA) will be recognized as prior police experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with escort/driver security protection of VIP, executives, and other dignitaries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide police protection to the CEO and other C-Suite executives associated with Cleveland Clinic on business related to matters (meetings, events, conferences, etc.) during security escort duties and remain within appropriate distance for ongoing surveillance.
  • Provide police protection on foot or unmarked vehicles on Cleveland Clinic properties and in the community where the CEO and other executives are present.
  • Maintain firearm qualification standards as set forth by the department.
  • Perform proactive monitoring of and timely response to potential/actual security threats.
  • Review routes, coordinate coordination for safest route on foot or car based on emergent situations in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic Policy and Police Inspectors.
  • Will attend local, regional, and international travel, as required.
  • Perform duties during day or evening shifts. as needed.
