About The Position

Amentum is currently seeking qualified candidates to serve as an Executive Officer in support of Towed Artillery Systems for the Program Manager Self Propelled Howitzer Systems (SPHS), CPE Offensive Fires, at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. This position will be on-site daily. The ideal candidate for this role would be a former artillery Captain or junior Major with experience with towed artillery systems. This position is not yet funded, position contingent upon funding award. Other duties may be assigned to support client and contract deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience with military operations in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and TEAMs applications.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of military experience in positions of leadership and responsibility.
  • Ability to talk and interact with people proactively.
  • Critical thinker.
  • Program Management and project Management awareness.
  • Able to move multitask and adjust quickly.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.
  • Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance.
  • This position can start while in the process of obtaining a Secret Clearance, but a positive adjudication/determination will be required for continued employment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal advisor to the O-5 director in support of towed artillery systems.
  • Manage and develop executive level products, presentations, and supporting documents in support of the O-5 director of towed artillery systems.
  • Manage, assess, coordinate, complete, and report, internal and external program requirements (taskers) across the product office, higher headquarters, and external organizations.
  • Manage the schedule, coordinate, and organize a wide variety of acquisition related meetings.
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external program requirements (taskers) across the product office, higher headquarters, and external organizations.
  • Provide other operations and administrative support for the office as needed.
  • Synchronize planning and operations functions.
  • Coordinate with higher headquarters, adjacent offices, and external agencies.
  • Assist in prioritizing operational funding requirements.
  • Monitor execution of funding tied to the towed artillery systems program.
  • Maintain continuity books and informational summaries for leadership.
  • Recommend improvements to operational workflow and integration processes.
