The position serves as the executive advisor and administrator on the implementation of programs and initiatives within the group. The incumbent will perform and lead a variety of staff studies concerning group programs and program support effectiveness resulting from regulatory changes, new technology, program and mission changes, and recurring requirements. The role includes representing the Group Commander and/or delegated Authority concerning group plans, special events, and projects, to communicate the Group Commander's policies and to explain the interests of the group in regard to local activities or projects. Additionally, the position manages the group's resources for command and executive support, services, and activities, conducting management studies, inquiries, and surveys to determine support requirements and to measure the effectiveness of existing structures in meeting objectives. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring and directing inspection of the group's programs and activities, representing the Group Commander in all matters pertaining to inspections and keeping the Commander fully informed.
