About The Position

The Associate, Research and Client Advisory Group at Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York, is responsible for performing original research and analysis on a range of topics across geopolitics and emergent technology. This role aims to inform firm strategy and provide thought leadership to clients, particularly on issues related to AI and capital markets. The associate will analyze trends, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and generate insightful reports. Utilizing data analysis and data models, the associate will research the costs and efficiency benefits for internal and external clients, navigating the use of emerging technologies such as generative artificial intelligence and big data platforms. The role involves delivering best practices and use cases to clients through memo briefings, facilitated training dialogues, and other analytical products. Additionally, the associate will develop high-quality materials for clients, including presentations, research notes, white papers, and briefings, effectively communicating complex ideas and findings. Collaboration with bankers, experts, senior researchers, economists, and strategists is essential to support a wide range of activities and projects, applying innovative and creative tools to develop new approaches and solutions to complex problems.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related analytical field with one year of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with three years of experience.
  • Experience in performing quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Ability to communicate concise information for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel or PowerPoint.
  • Experience in developing memos and project planning documents.
  • Research and writing experience on technology or geopolitics trends.
  • Understanding of global markets and the financial services industry.
  • Experience in modeling and analyzing large data sets for risk management.
