About The Position

Responsible for driving event revenue through prospecting, selling, and managing events from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up. This role ensures seamless execution while maximizing client satisfaction and revenue opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years of experience in event management, sales, catering, or related field required
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, client service, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to identify revenue opportunities and upsell effectively
  • Experience with event planning systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Previous selling and servicing event experience preferred
  • Experience in an event venue, conference center, catering operation, or similar environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and solicit new business through outbound sales efforts, networking, referrals, and local market outreach
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for meetings, events, catering, and other revenue-generating programs
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial inquiry through proposal, negotiation, contract execution, and event turnover
  • Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally to maximize conversion opportunities
  • Develop customized proposals based on client needs, budget, and event objectives
  • Lead client conversations, discovery calls, and site inspections to position the venue effectively and close business
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in alignment with revenue goals and business needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to generate repeat business
  • Upsell food and beverage, audiovisual, rental enhancements, and additional services throughout the sales and planning process
  • Assist in forecasting revenue for assigned events and contribute to overall sales pacing and production goals
  • Actively monitor tentative business and follow up strategically to convert leads into definite bookings
  • Partner with leadership to identify need periods and develop targeted sales strategies to drive revenue during softer dates
  • Manage events end-to-end (pre-event, event execution, and post-event follow-up, including billing)
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event process
  • Ensure events are executed seamlessly by coordinating with internal teams and adhering to established procedures
  • Greet clients onsite and oversee event execution to ensure all details are delivered as contracted
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure accuracy and quality of event delivery
  • Participate in site inspections and support the sales process as needed
  • Oversee client experience from turnover through post-event completion
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support business needs
