About The Position

The Executive Meeting Manager at The Westin/Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa is responsible for supporting the sales office in achieving budgeted revenue goals through various tasks, including group detailing and servicing. This role involves generating guest room and food & beverage revenue, managing accounts, and ensuring high guest satisfaction while actively soliciting new business and maintaining relationships with past clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 years of hotel management experience required.
  • 1 year of hospitality experience required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Considerable knowledge of complex mathematical calculations and computer accounting programs.
  • Budgetary analysis capabilities required.
  • Extensive knowledge of hotel services and facilities.
  • Excellent leadership capability and customer relations skills.
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to analyze data.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree
  • Sales or Front Desk experience with Marriott brand hotels preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generate guest room and food & beverage revenue.
  • Manage accounts and create high guest satisfaction.
  • Solicit past and new business to meet goals.
  • Understand hotel operations including F&B, guest services, and reservations.
  • Participate in active sales solicitation and uphold selling techniques.
  • Book group rooms with or without F&B in all markets.
  • Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing and Sales & Catering Manager in selling the hotel concept.
  • Provide client support including processing leads and investigating issues.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and sales kits.
  • Act as the face of the sales department by answering incoming sales calls and leads.
  • Coordinate and manage Group Housing, Group Masters, and room reservations.
  • Manage In-House Events Calendar and block space in Delphi.
  • Produce and distribute accurate banquet/catering event orders and timelines.
  • Coordinate site inspection alerts and customer reservations.
  • Assist in logistical support for small group and catering meetings.
  • Report generation as needed.
  • Drive product quality and a unique guest experience.
