About The Position

The Executive Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to a member of the Executive team at a midsized law firm in downtown Chicago. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency of the executive's operations and requires a strong understanding of the legal field.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Executive Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and of the law.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the executive team.
  • Organize and maintain legal documents, records, and reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of legal documents and court filings.
  • Coordinate and manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings and appointments.
  • Prepare and disseminate correspondence, memos, and forms.
  • Liaise with clients and other legal staff in a professional manner.
  • Assist with research work and compile data as needed.
