About The Position

A kind couple moving into a townhouse in the West Village in late February is seeking a full-time live-out Executive Housekeeper to start soon. The home is 7,000 sq. ft., 5 floors, and approximately 8 bathrooms/6 bedrooms. There is an amazing elevator so no going up and down stairs (unless cleaning the stairs). They have a lot of antiques, artwork, and high-end furniture so the candidate to hire must have experience in cleaning/caring for these items. They have 1 dog (a 7 lb. Yorkshire Terrier). The ideal candidate is very organized and can keep their organizational structure in place in their home. The ideal schedule for them is Monday through Friday 10am-6pm, but they can be flexible.

Requirements

Strong command of the English language in order to communicate well with principals and other staff
A naturally organized mindset, someone who enjoys organization

Responsibilities

Standard deep cleaning (floors, bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, etc.)
Detailed cleaning, I.E., not letting dust build up
Cleaning up after meals or from the night before
Deep cleaning 1 room a day and then general cleaning the rest of the home
Perhaps some dog walking and feeding the dog if needed around 5:30pm or 6pm if the principal is out of the home then
Laundry, including hand-washing items if needed, steaming, ironing (they have a rotary iron); they do dry cleaners often as well. The candidate to hire must read labels and know fabrics to understand what items need what in the sense of laundry, hand-washing, steaming, ironing, going to the dry cleaners, etc.
Organization (they have professional organizers moving their items into their new home and the client wants to keep up this organizational structure that will be in place)
Supermarket runs and/or ordering groceries
