About The Position

A busy family of four (two adults and two children) residing in a 6,000 sq. ft., four-story townhouse in Midtown New York City is seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive full-time Housekeeper. This is a long-term opportunity for a candidate who takes pride in ownership of the home and can manage responsibilities independently.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in a large, busy household
  • Extremely detail-oriented with a strong eye for organization
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Proactive problem-solver who does not require constant direction
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable managing vendors and household logistics
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using Google Calendar and online ordering platforms

Responsibilities

  • Full-charge housekeeping for a large, four-story townhouse
  • Daily cleaning and detailed deep cleaning as needed
  • Laundry care, including meticulous garment care (especially men’s clothing and shoes)
  • Closet organization and maintenance
  • Ensuring overall home presentation is consistently immaculate
  • Managing household supplies and placing orders (e.g., Amazon)
  • Coordinating and communicating with vendors (e.g., dry cleaners, service providers)
  • Handling returns, basic technology tasks, and maintaining schedules via Google Calendar
  • Taking full ownership of household operations and anticipating needs
  • Occasional travel (a few times in the summer; approximately one week at a time). Travel may include destinations such as the Hamptons, with transportation expenses covered as applicable.
