About The Position

In Executive Education, a part of the Fisher College of Business, we offer a wide selection of high-quality custom, open-enrollment and graduate certificate programs designed to meet current and emerging business needs. The Education Programs Senior Specialist seeks to maximize revenue by recruiting, nurturing and managing relationships with corporate leaders and participants while building trust and value through high-quality delivery of professional development programs. Achieving this is done through: execution of regional recruitment strategies under the direction of the Executive Director, Faculty, and Sr. Business Development Consultant of Non-Degree Executive Education. Promotes Fisher’s diverse portfolio of Non-Degree Executive Education professional development offerings that include topic-based programs, custom-based programs, micro-credentials and Grad Cert programs. Works collaboratively with our custom program team to execute unique programs for corporate clients. Collaborates with college partners to meet enrollment targets by identifying target audiences and promoting programs through social media platforms, alumni engagement, and outreach. Utilizes Salesforce to manage the client life-cycle to maximize the implementation of the department’s strategy and revenue goals. Utilizes AI to support and drive the vision and strategy of the department. Oversees all operational aspects, including planning, logistics, registration, enrollment, and event management (e.g., dinners, networking activities, site visits, workshops). Networks with clients and participants during entirety of the program to discover leads for additional business opportunities. Manages relationship with the State of Ohio for TechCred support of professional development expenditures. This position occasionally requires work on weekends and evenings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience in business administration, education or related field of study.
  • 4 years’ experience in business program planning, educational program development, event management or a related area.
  • Experience working on an interdependent team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks.
  • Identifies errors, inconsistencies, or missing information and takes proactive steps to correct issues.
  • Ability to develop business relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AI for workflow optimization, ideation and data analysis.
  • Experience in higher education and/or an understanding of the needs of adult learners
  • Experience with OSU systems such as Carmen/Canvas (Learning Management System), Carmen Zoom, Microsoft Teams, SIS and Workday.
