About The Position

The Executive Driver professionally operates sedans, SUVs, vans and other vehicle types to safely transport clients to and from designated destinations according to an assigned scheduled. An assigned schedule may include extensive waiting time and environment vigilance. The driver may assist disabled passengers according to their needs. The driver is responsible for operating communication devices to report service disruption, fuel vehicles, complete DVIRs, record trip details, clean vehicle and exercise confidentiality. Pay Rate: $30.14/hourly.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent GED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience successfully working as an executive-level Driver.
  • Experience driving various types of leased/owned vehicles, including sedans and vans.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Mature judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to pass a pre-hire background and drug screen.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain prior to commencing work and maintain the required intelligence community level clearance.
  • A valid State Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Join and maintain union membership with Local 32BJ in accordance with the contract.

Responsibilities

  • Transport clients to desired destinations in a safe, secure, and confidential manner.
  • Safeguard sensitive and confidential information that driver may see or hear.
  • Preplan assigned trips to include consulting maps and/or navigation devices for desired routes, traffic and weather reports.
  • Keep clients informed of trip challenges and changes in planned trip details.
  • Ability to be flexible to meet client priorities and preferences.
  • Exercise safe driving abilities, customer focus, navigation skills, effective communication, time management, alertness, and decision making.
  • Load and transport handicap personnel in accordance with ADA procedures.
  • Maintain an acute awareness of the Washington D.C. and Metro areas.
  • Complete pre and post-trip vehicle inspection log, to include brakes, tires, turn signal, etc.
  • Inspect interior and exterior of vehicle to ensure acceptable client conditions.
  • Document mechanical concerns and assist to coordinate with maintenance staff.
  • Be mannerly and courteous in all driving and non-driving situations while on the job.
  • Good grooming and personal hygiene with clean and proper dress are expected.
  • Wear company provided uniform with brown or black dress shoes/boots in a clean and professional manner.
  • Adhere to the established company safety and personnel policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Exercise calm, rational behavior and attitude under stressful driving conditions.
  • Refrain from inappropriate or abusive language and gestures.
  • Timely report suspicious activity.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
