About The Position

Brookdale is seeking an Executive Director to support Brookdale Mankato, a 19 apartment assisted living community. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintaining occupancy, monthly financial performance, supervising staff, and maintaining positive working relationships with all residents, resident family members, and employees.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant and recent proven management and operations experience.
  • Senior Living experience is required.
  • Must be an LALD (Licensed Assisted Living Director) in Minnesota.
  • Understanding of appropriate methods for hiring, training, evaluating, motivating, and disciplining personnel.
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of technology, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Additional years of experience can be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the community's daily operations, associate relations, resident and resident family engagement, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Create and execute the business plan and develop the team to become a preferred senior living community in the market.
  • Work with sales to drive sales results.
  • Create an inclusive community culture that provides high-quality resident experiences and care.
  • Interact with staff and residents, prospects, or their family members or representatives as necessary.
  • Develop and implement business plans in connection with the district team.
  • Analyze and execute annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Supervise, direct, and motivate community staff.
  • Ensure community maintains appropriate staffing levels.
  • Recruit and hire high-quality associates and ensure they are appropriately trained.
  • Build high degrees of resident satisfaction and retention.
  • Administer resident satisfaction surveys and create plans for improvement.
  • Oversee resident services including admission processes and healthcare management.
  • Demonstrate financial acumen related to community operations.
  • Drive sales and marketing efforts to meet or exceed occupancy or revenue targets.
  • Ensure buildings, grounds, and property are up to Company standards.
