About The Position

The Executive Director at Brookdale Chanate is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a senior living community, ensuring high-quality resident experiences, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. This role involves creating and executing business plans, managing staff, and fostering an inclusive community culture. The Executive Director will also drive sales and marketing efforts to enhance community occupancy and revenue while maintaining strong relationships with residents, families, and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of three years related operational leadership experience required.
  • Must have a valid administrator license in states where required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle for business use.

  • Experience in senior living or healthcare management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft software.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the day-to-day operations of a larger community of 60-65 units and two product lines or 65-175 units with up to two product lines.
  • Responsible for community's associate relations, resident engagement, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Creates and executes the business plan to become a preferred senior living community in the market.
  • Works with sales to drive sales results and occupancy.
  • Develops and implements annual operating and capital budgets; manages community performance against goals.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with the management team and encourages teamwork.
  • Empowers department leaders to supervise, direct, and motivate staff.
  • Ensures community maintains appropriate staffing levels to meet resident needs.
  • Responsible for recruiting and hiring high-quality associates and ensuring they are trained and developed.
  • Analyzes trends and implements strategies to reduce turnover and increase retention.
  • Maintains positive resident relations and is proactive in solving resident problems.
  • Leads efforts to leverage satisfied residents to grow community occupancy.
  • Partners with Resident Council and administers resident satisfaction surveys.
  • Ensures collaborative relationships with community clinical leaders for appropriate care services.
  • Demonstrates financial acumen related to community operations and proactively creates plans to overcome financial challenges.
  • Drives sales and marketing efforts to meet or exceed occupancy or revenue targets.
