About The Position

We're seeking someone to join the Treasury Capital Markets team as an Executive Director in Treasury to support the management of the Firm's US Banks from a funding perspective. In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Executive Director position within our Corporate Treasury Market-facing/Managing Risk Job Family which is responsible for the management, execution, setting the liquidity investment policy and risk management of the Firm's unsecured funding issuance, investment of the Firm's liquidity resources and managing risk for the MSBNA/MSPBNAs Chief Investment Office (CIO) Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.

Requirements

  • Advanced understanding of Treasury, industry, and competitive environment and technical skills, including risks and key regulations relevant to the division
  • Strong technical skills

  • Ability to manage risk and impact to functional area, and create plans to mitigate those risks
  • Experience of managing a team of resources

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
  • Lead end-to-end processes and/or programs that require complex decision making, advanced understanding of client and stakeholder needs and subject matter expertise
  • Understand and adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; own risk and contingency plans for business area
  • Act as a role model and culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and team accountable to Firm standards
  • Manage the design and day-to-day implementation of a diverse and stable debt and deposit offering, related hedging strategies and funding pricing for the Firm's US Banks
  • Manage funding planning across the US Banks' unsecured funding and deposit channels
  • Lead the team defining and executing the US Banks' funding strategy to support funding, liquidity and balance sheet objectives
  • Oversee the assessment and implementation of new funding products, vendors and counterparties by collaborating with Wealth Management, ISG, Controllers, Risk, Legal, Tech and others
  • Manage and execute ad hoc requests/inquiries from senior management and aid in decision making process
  • Provide a vision and direction to the tech development team and stakeholders to deliver software solutions used to manage unsecured funding
  • Partner closely with the Global TCM teams and business units on deposit and other funding initiatives
  • Oversee the team's risks and controls and associated documentation (e.g., policies & procedures)
  • Create and deliver effective presentations for senior management forums and to regulators
  • Manage, attract, develop and retain talent for team within Finance while creating an inclusive environment; translate Firmwide goals into actionable goals for department/function
