About The Position

The Executive Director is the principal manager of support service departments including Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Activities, Social Services, and Independent Living (on main campus). This position helps set and enforce policies and procedures, utilizing decision making skills to drive metrics and improve results. Promote employee morale, productivity, and satisfaction. Accountable for productivity and the timely completion of delegated work assignments in accordance with established policies & standards. Participate and/or approve the hiring, discipline, development, and evaluation of personnel. Understand the needs and preferences of those who utilize department services. Seek and respond appropriately to formal and informal feedback on service quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Develop policies, procedures, and work methods that produce a consistent level of service quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Recruit, train, and develop personnel with the skills and work ethic needed to fulfill service mission. Effectively motivate staff to become competent, conscientious, and productive contributors to the service mission. Manage staff fairly and consistently in keeping with policies. Provide regular and constructive feedback on job performance, and address performance deficiencies in a timely and responsible manner. Prepare and recommend annual capital and operating budgets consistent with service mission and approved budget guidelines. Manage operations to meet or exceed approved budget targets. Serve as the liaison for Bayley and contracted outside billing services. Develop procedures and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software. Oversee daily resident census and current information on residents and maintain confidentiality of all resident information. Oversee monthly resident billing procedures and the monthly billing of Medicare Parts A & B and billing of Medicaid residents in conjunction with CMS requirements and caseworker assignments by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services is informed of any necessary adjustment on resident accounts. Familiar with preparation and process of required Medicaid-related forms in conformity with regulations. Develop communications to families including invoices, letters, billing statements, etc

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in management or relevant field
  • Post-graduate degree in management or relevant field
  • Certification or membership in relevant professional organization
  • Administrator’s license
  • Budgeting and financial management
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing for long term care
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in technology including Excel, Word, Clinical/Billing software
  • Coaching and motivational skills
  • Development and application of performance metrics and benchmarking
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory issues applicable to tax-exempt organizations
  • 5+ years senior-level management experience in a multi-facility or health care setting
