Executive Director provides strategic and creative leadership to advance the mission of Laughlin Memorial Chapel. This role oversees strategic planning, resource development, and community partnerships while fostering an environment that empowers staff, volunteers, and the families served. Maintain the Organization’s reputation as a place that has been respected in the community for over 150 years. Proactively manage both people and financial resources. Leadership: guide the board and office while representing our target clients to the local, regional, and state level Organizational management: administrative efficiency/compliance, goal selection and achievement Communication: create, develop and implement a Communication & Resource Development Plan that ensures LMC’s services are known while expanding awareness to grow private and public funding of programs and services. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of all organization operations, and pivot when necessary. Coordinate major activities through employees and volunteers. Assist in the development of effective donor relations and fundraising. Represent the organization to regulatory bodies, other agencies, community and civic organizations, donors, funders and supporters, and the general public. Implement policies established by the board of directors.

  • The Executive Director will be thoroughly committed to LMC’s mission while showing a proven track record of leadership, coaching, and strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A college degree, with 3+ years of administrative, business, or non-profit related leadership experience; with a track record of effective leadership.
  • Commitment to quality management.
  • Excellent organizational management experience with the ability to coach team members, manage projects achieve strategic objectives, and properly managing a budget.
  • Persuasive and effective skills to develop a positive organizational culture, community engagement and program development through mission-driven methods.
  • Adaptability: Proven flexibility and pivoting skills while program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Technology proficiency: Email, Google and Microsoft office systems, social media, document management, Financial/accounting and payroll systems.
