Horizon Health Corporation is seeking an Executive Director to work on the inpatient psychiatric units (10-bed Adult Psych Unit) in the CGH Medical Center, in Sterling, IL. The Executive Director is responsible for the maintenance of the Horizon Health/Client hospital contractual relationship(s) and in coordination with the client, the overall administration of patient care for the Program. Included in these responsibilities are: 1) the development and maintenance of a high-quality treatment program; 2) the development and implementation of a comprehensive community relations program; and 3) strategic planning, program administration, and development. In addition, the Executive Director is responsible for initiating, directing, and oversight of projects, programs, and guidelines for value, effectiveness, and efficiencies amongst service lines and colleagues. Oversees multiple service lines. Responsible for recruitment of providers, supervisors, and manager within all service lines. Oversees and maintains continuous quality and effectiveness of providers through ongoing chart audits, unit surveys, customer/patient survey reviews, colleague participation/involvement studies, and 1:1 discussions. Reviews scheduling programs for staff to ensure productivity standards are met and minimizing overtime. Holds weekly, bi-weekly and monthly meetings for therapists to review case management and internal operations. Other responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting oversight, pursues additional means for payments/services, hospital committee participation and representation, participates in and leads in-services, seminars, and panel discussions for community, strategic planning, and oversees Horizon reporting. Develops and implements training program for all therapists and providers. Implements continuous quality improvement projects, best practices, and effectiveness measures. Prepares for Horizon, State, and CMS audits. Supervisory Responsibility Will provide direct supervision to Program Horizon employed clinical and administrative staff; and perform in an advisory capacity to client staff supporting the behavioral health program. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are subject to the needs of the Program which operates on a 24 hour; seven days a week basis. Please refer to Program or Hospital attendance policy for additional direction on shifts, holidays and attendance. Work Environment Clinical Program Directors work in close contact with patients who have moderate to severe psychiatric concerns and/or behavioral issues. There is the possibility this position could be exposed to violent behavior from patients and/or behavioral issues as part of their daily duties. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
