About The Position
The Midtown Academy, Inc. is seeking an experienced and visionary leader who is passionate about education to serve as Executive Director. Midtown's Executive Director will work in partnership with our principal to realize Midtown's mission: uniting diverse communities, igniting an enduring passion for learning, and creating outstanding global citizens. This leader will balance the requirements, policies, and procedures of the Baltimore City Public School System with the fiduciary responsibility of running a small, non-profit organization. The Executive Director will be skilled at managing change and planning for the school's expansion. A successful candidate will exhibit a solid ability to form constructive working relationships with a volunteer Board of Directors, oversee day-to-day operations while maintaining frequent, positive interactions with students, staff, and families. Midtown's Executive Director plays a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the school's mission. The ideal candidate is a dynamic communicator and a strategic planner who is motivated, goal-oriented, thoughtful, and approachable.
