The Executive Director is the business and operations executive responsible for planning, organizing, and directing strategy, operations, and financial performance for their respective Department. This individual will partner with the Department Chair, Medical Group executive leaders, and other senior medical center leaders to strategically align and integrate organizational goals to achieve strategic, operational, and financial objectives to achieve maximum measurable impact. The Executive Director's primary reporting relationship will be to the assigned Lurie Children's Medical Group (LCMG) Vice President and Chief, with dotted line reporting to the Department Chair. This leader will supervise and manage departmental administrative personnel and will work closely with other medical center, research institute, and clinical leaders to effectively lead the Department. The Department of Surgery is comprised of 10 divisions and 80+ surgeons performing over 22,000 surgical cases and 150,000+ outpatient visits per year.
