About The Position

The Executive Director, Policy Development and Strategy is a pivotal leadership role within the Global Public Policy Strategic Planning & External Engagement team. This position is responsible for the continuous monitoring of policy and geopolitical trends, proactively directing policy development activities to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities that align with the company's business priorities. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President of Strategic Planning & External Engagement, the Executive Director will facilitate impactful engagement on global policy and political concerns that affect the company and the industry. This role requires close collaboration with the Executive Director of Global Policy and Multilateral Engagement, as well as therapeutic area and regional policy teams. In this capacity, the Executive Director will work alongside the AVP to identify synergies across therapeutic area and regional policy advocacy plans, developing a comprehensive view of policy priorities for Good Pharmacoepidemiology Practices (GPP). The Executive Director will lead the development of internal and external policy positions on above-product issues that could impact the company, while also targeting efforts in global industry associations and business groups. Additionally, the role involves creating and maintaining digital tools to support strategic planning and performance management across the policy function, conducting regular analyses to generate insights that enhance the efficiency and impact of strategic plan execution. The position is based in the U.S. (Washington, DC, Rahway, NJ), Belgium (Brussels), or Switzerland (Zurich, Lucerne, Geneva).
