As the most senior leadership position within the Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center, the Executive Director, PAC reports directly to the Vice President of Community Relations & Student Development and is responsible for venue management (Building 16) including performance booking (programming), finance/budget oversight, marketing, sponsorships & fundraising (in conjunction with the YC Foundation) and constituent and community relations. The following positions are direct reports to the Executive Director, PAC: the Director of Programming, Technical Director, Ticket Office Supervisor, Marketing Manager, Department Coordinator, and Operations Specialist.

  • Build and lead an effective team that's dedicated to fulfilling the organization's mission and goals through highly successful, well received programming, community cultural engagement and effective fundraising.
  • Controller of the annual budget and ERP fund, meeting financial goals, and managing the theater's monetary health and profit growth.
  • Constantly evaluate all systems and processes to implement needed improvements for increased efficiency.
  • Develop, plan and lead the annual signature event.
  • Establish new and innovative ways to showcase the Jim & Linda Lee Performing Art Center to current and future audiences and donors.
  • Oversee daily operations of the organization, by providing executive direction for program strategies and compliant quality assurance.
  • Identify and address staffing requirements for efficient operations and maintain a strong work culture that attracts and retains people while driving the organization's mission.
  • Comply with all national, local and Yavapai College's organizational policies and procedures.
  • Fostering a positive culture of teamwork, and accountability.
  • Develop annual performance calendar ensuring the season fits within the venue's profit/loss forecast with prioritizing academic programming.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations of staff.
  • Overseeing the marketing materials and campaigns ensuring it is properly promoting the theater and its various events.
  • Serve as the face of the organization and participate in external community events to increase the venue's visibility, credibility, and brand.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with local businesses, organizations and non-for-profits to further increase community awareness and expand community-based programming.
  • Managing donor campaigns, with the goals to increase new memberships, foster renewals and develop special annual appeals.
  • Work closely with the Chief Development Officer of Foundations to meet annual fundraising goals, by developing, overseeing and maintaining financial support from local and national foundations, corporations, individual donors and government funding sources.
  • Establish and maintain essential and strategic external partnerships.
  • Maintain effective and strategic internal partnerships with YC departments such as Food Service and Police.
  • Bachelors from a regionally accredited institution in theatre arts, art management, or business administration.
  • Successful proven track record of fundraising.
  • At least two years' experience in operational oversight for both front and back of the house operations.
  • Kitchen Manager ServSafe Certification.
  • Ticketing Office, bar and concessions management experience.
  • Successful completion in all external and internal project development, and execution.
  • An earned master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in theatre arts, art management, or business administration.
