We are looking for an astute, determined professional like you to fill an Executive Director position within our Originations team. You will showcase your success through collaboration, ownership, and innovation. PGIM Real Estate’s Originations team engages in all aspects of the loan origination process. As an Executive Director, Originations, you would be directly responsible for sourcing and originating commercial real estate debt investments for our various investors. The expectation is that this person will assume direct originations responsibilities upon joining. We seek demonstrated experience successfully originating and negotiating commercial real estate loans as evidenced by a strong track record of closed loans over the past several years. Possessing a book of business in the Northeast, in some capacity, is preferred.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate lending with proven experience originating loans
  • A credit mindset and the ability to review, structure and underwrite loans to mitigate risks corresponding to the needs of PGIM’s various capital sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as an integral member of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Possessing a book of business in the Northeast
  • Experience working with all real estate asset classes
  • MBA from a top program preferred, but candidates with additional lending experience will be given similar consideration.
  • Experience managing junior level talent

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sourcing (directly and through partnering internally) and originating commercial real estate debt investments for PGIM’s various investors.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the loan origination process, including analysis and underwriting, debt structuring, pricing strategy, presentations to senior management, due diligence review, transaction negotiation and closing.
  • Developing relationships with prospective borrowers and intermediaries while maintaining and building enduring relationships with existing clients across the platform.
