About The Position
The Executive Director of the Oncology Service Line at El Camino Health will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of both inpatient and outpatient oncology services across the organization's two hospitals. This position is essential for ensuring that the oncology services are not only maintained but also expanded to meet the growing needs of the community. The Executive Director will work closely with Medical Directors and Chiefs of the department to develop strategies that enhance the quality of care provided to patients. The primary goal for this leader will be to expand the Oncology Service Line by recruiting new physicians, opening new facilities, enhancing subspecialties, and integrating services to offer more robust patient care. This role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and leading an oncology program, demonstrating the ability to navigate the complexities of healthcare management while fostering a collaborative environment among staff and stakeholders.
