About The Position

The Executive of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational strategy, execution excellence, and organizational performance across the enterprise. This leader oversees all operational functions to ensure efficiency, scalability, quality, safety, and profitability while aligning operations with overall business objectives. The Executive of Operations partners closely with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives that support sustainable growth, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10–15+ years of progressive operational leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of leading large, cross-functional teams in a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations and driving measurable performance improvements.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost controls.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain, manufacturing, or service operations (industry-specific experience preferred).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive presence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-growth or rapidly scaling organizations.
  • Background in manufacturing, industrial, renewable energy, or related sectors (if applicable).
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence certification.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the company’s operational strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
  • Translate corporate objectives into measurable operational plans and performance targets.
  • Lead long-term capacity planning, infrastructure development, and operational scalability initiatives.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the executive team on operational risks, opportunities, and performance.
  • Operational Oversight Oversee daily operations across manufacturing, production, supply chain, logistics, quality, and facilities (as applicable).
  • Ensure operational efficiency, cost control, and productivity improvements across all departments.
  • Drive performance management systems and establish KPIs to measure operational success.
  • Ensure consistent execution of policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Financial & Performance Management Partner with finance to develop and manage operational budgets.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards.
  • Monitor operational metrics and provide regular reporting to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement initiatives that improve margins and operational effectiveness.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation Champion Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Lead process optimization and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Risk Management & Compliance Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and workplace culture.
  • Team Leadership & Development Build, mentor, and develop high-performing operational leadership teams.
  • Drive workforce planning and talent development initiatives.
  • Promote a collaborative, performance-focused organizational culture.
  • Lead change management efforts during periods of growth or transformation.
