Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career. The Executive Director of Marketing serves as the second-in-command within the Marketing organization and reports directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. This role is responsible for leading the execution of marketing strategy, overseeing brand initiatives, and managing day-to-day marketing operations that support revenue growth across all Fontainebleau Miami Beach business segments. The Executive Director works closely with internal stakeholders including Sales, Revenue Management, Food & Beverage, Entertainment, Retail, and Hotel Operations to ensure marketing initiatives align with the property’s overall business objectives and deliver exceptional guest engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 4–6 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience within luxury hospitality, lifestyle brands, entertainment, or resort environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Expertise in brand marketing, digital marketing, and integrated campaign strategy.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to translate strategic vision into operational marketing initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience measuring marketing performance and ROI.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy Execution
  • Partner with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing to implement comprehensive marketing strategies that support revenue generation across hotel rooms, events, entertainment, food & beverage, retail, and resort experiences.
  • Translate strategic marketing initiatives into actionable campaigns and operational plans.
  • Oversee the execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and traditional marketing channels.
  • Brand Management
  • Ensure all marketing initiatives uphold the Fontainebleau brand identity, voice, and positioning.
  • Maintain brand consistency across advertising, digital platforms, property communications, and promotional materials.
  • Support brand partnerships, sponsorships, and strategic collaborations that enhance brand visibility.
  • Marketing Operations & Team Leadership
  • Lead and manage the marketing team, including digital marketing, brand marketing, content development, and campaign management.
  • Oversee marketing calendars, project timelines, and cross-department coordination.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance marketing culture that supports innovation and operational excellence.
  • Campaign & Channel Management
  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns for key resort initiatives including events, seasonal promotions, entertainment programming, and property experiences.
  • Manage digital marketing strategies including website content, social media presence, paid media, and email marketing.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and vendors supporting creative development, public relations, and media buying.
  • Analytics & Performance Management
  • Monitor campaign performance and marketing ROI using established KPIs and analytics tools.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to optimize marketing performance.
  • Develop reporting dashboards that provide visibility into marketing performance and campaign effectiveness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Sales, Revenue Management, and Operations to support group sales initiatives, leisure demand, and property-wide promotions.
  • Work with the Entertainment and Events teams to market signature Fontainebleau programming and experiences.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives align with overall resort revenue goals.
  • Budget & Resource Management
  • Assist the VP of Sales & Marketing in managing the marketing budget and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure marketing programs are executed efficiently and within approved financial parameters.
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Represent the Marketing team in executive and cross-departmental meetings as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
