About The Position

The Executive Director of the Motor Vehicle Dealer Board (MVDB) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure effective regulation of motor vehicle dealers in Virginia. This role involves engaging with the Board to fulfill the agency's mission of protecting consumer interests and regulating the motor vehicle sales industry professionally and fairly.

Requirements

• Progressively responsible experience in public administration, regulatory compliance, or the motor vehicle industry.
• Proven experience working with or leading a Board of Directors or similar governing body.
• Experience in financial management, including budget preparation and fund oversight.
• Strong understanding of public sector operations, particularly in regulatory and compliance environments.
• Familiarity with motor vehicle dealer licensing and sales operations, consumer protection, and transportation law.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and complex projects.
• Experience working in a regulatory role or government agency is preferred.

Responsibilities
