About The Position

The Executive Director of the Institute for Excellence in Health Equity at NYU Grossman School of Medicine is responsible for the overall administrative and financial management of the Institute. This role involves collaborating with the Institute Director and leadership to manage strategy, operations, faculty recruitment, staff development, and program management. The Executive Director will oversee the development and implementation of policies, ensure compliance with institutional standards, and foster interdisciplinary collaborations to advance health equity and excellence.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business, Health Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in an academic institute or clinical department administration.
  • Strong financial management experience and staff management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establish annual and long-term goals for the institute in alignment with the institution's mission.
  • Develop operational strategies and programs to optimize clinical, research, and educational performance.
  • Manage financial performance, including budget preparation and monitoring expenses and revenue.
  • Oversee the development of business plans for all programs within the institute.
  • Provide administrative support to the Institute Director and leadership in developing metrics for success.
  • Develop strategies for funding and financial support for programs and initiatives.
  • Oversee grant management and research compliance activities within the institute.
  • Assist in the development and administrative requirements for medical education related to health equity.
  • Provide guidance to clinical leadership on health equity initiatives.
