The Executive Director, Insights & Analytics is responsible and accountable to direct all commercial Insights & Analytics initiatives for the US business – across all BUs. These initiatives will drive key business decisions reflective of market and industry trends as well as customer behavior. This position is responsible for coordinating several functions, including forecasting, data analytics, performance reporting, market research, competitive intelligence, and advanced analytics. The US, Executive Director, Insights & Analytics will partner with cross-functional partners (Data Management, SFE, I&C, Finance) and BU stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Supply Chain) to build effective plans, execute on key deliverables and proactively influence commercial strategy. This role must demonstrate the ability to work independently with a proactive approach to meet business needs and deadlines but must remain connected to the rest of the US team. They will lead a team of approximately 10 FTEs.

Requirements

  • 12+ years progressive experience in Life Sciences insights, analytics, and forecasting.
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional analytics teams and delivering strategic impact.
  • Deep understanding of the US healthcare market, preferably with experience Immunology or Dermatology.
  • Experience with market data considerations, including internal (hub) and external (audit) data sources.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization, modeling tools, and CRM/BI platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated high resilience and agility as well as a keen analytical mindset, curiosity, and ability to proactively anticipate points of confusion.
  • Proven experience communicating complex analyses in a simple and clear manner.
  • Superb verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strategic and innovative thinker with a proven ability to build relationships with key internal leaders to achieve consensus or negotiate through complex challenges.
  • Excellent executive presence with superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly analytical with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to act decisively in the absence of complete information and be comfortable with appropriate risk.
  • Proven ability to provide leadership in a team based on a matrix environment without direct authority and through influence and expertise.
  • Proven track record of effective vendor management and ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and often changing environment.
  • Track record of creating scalable process improvements.
  • Ability to travel (~15% of time) to regional and national meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute cohesive vision for the US Insights & Analytics function – aligned to Galderma’s commercial goals
  • Partner with senior leadership to inform strategic planning and brand performance measurement
  • Guide and oversee the development and execution of analytics frameworks to support each BU’s commercial strategy, including demand modeling, KPI tracking, and market assessments.
  • Oversee the commercial forecasting function and scenario planning to inform launch sequencing, pricing strategies, and resource allocation.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, and Market Access to deliver actionable insights that drive brand performance.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Guide the translation of complex data into compelling narratives for senior leadership and global stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that integrate forecasting, analytics, and market intelligence into business decision-making
  • Oversee the development of advanced analytics platforms and predictive models to support brand strategy and customer engagement
  • Champion use of AI/ML to enhance forecasting accuracy, segmentation, and promotional effectiveness
  • Ensure robust data governance and visualization tools are in place to support real-time decision-making
  • Drive collaboration among key functions within Commercial Excellence (Market Research, Competitive Intell, Sales Ops, I&C, Data Mgmt) in support of unified, streamlined business intelligence for the US.
