About The Position
Arlington County's Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a highly experienced Executive Director to provide oversight of the County's Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP), recognized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a quasi-Public Housing Agency. The HCVP subsidizes rental assistance for low-income households enabling their access to live in decent, safe, and sanitary housing within the private rental market. This position has responsibility for leading the administration of Arlington County's tenant-based vouchers and other programs including the Family Unification Program (FUP), Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD), Homeless Supportive Housing, Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), Project-Based Vouchers, and Veterans Assistance Supportive Housing (VASH).
