About The Position

The role is responsible for providing specialist Business Strategy and Portfolio expertise through global process management of the Business Strategy and Portfolio function. The individual will significantly contribute to the regional Business Strategy and Portfolio strategy, leading, guiding, evaluating, and developing the team within their area to ensure objectives are met and compliance with relevant regulations and laws is maintained. The position involves performance management of senior managers, identifying development opportunities for direct reports, and effective succession planning. Additionally, the role includes leading or overseeing a diverse range of initiatives aimed at improving quality, compliance, cost, or time, and where appropriate, leading the development of new methodologies or processes to provide business benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • Professional qualification.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional working groups and teams.
  • Proven leadership ability promoting, motivating, and empowering others.
  • Significant understanding of strategy formulation and evaluation.
  • Experience managing vast portfolios within a clinical or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Experience leading a development team in a global environment.
  • Conceptual, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to influence strategically and persuade tactfully.
