About The Position

The Executive Director, Head of Strategy & Business Transformation is responsible for providing specialist Business Strategy and Portfolio expertise through global process management of the Business Strategy and Portfolio function. This role significantly contributes to the regional Business Strategy and Portfolio strategy and leads, guides, evaluates, and develops the team within the Business Strategy and Portfolio area to ensure that objectives are achieved while complying with all relevant regulations and laws. The position also involves performance management of senior managers, identifying development opportunities for direct reports, and effective succession planning. The Executive Director will lead or oversee a diverse range of initiatives aimed at improving quality, compliance, cost, or time, and where appropriate, lead the development of new methodologies or processes to provide business benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • Professional qualification.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional working groups and teams.
  • Proven leadership ability promoting, motivating, and empowering others.
  • Significant understanding of strategy formulation and evaluation.
  • Experience managing vast portfolios within a clinical or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Experience leading a development team in a global environment.
  • Conceptual, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to influence strategically and persuade tactfully.
