About The Position

The position is responsible for providing specialist Business Strategy and Portfolio expertise through global process management of the Business Strategy and Portfolio function. The role inputs significantly to the regional Business Strategy and Portfolio strategy and leads, guides, evaluates, and develops the team within the Business Strategy and Portfolio area to ensure that objectives are achieved while complying with all relevant regulations and laws. Additionally, the position involves performance management of senior managers, identifying development opportunities for direct reports, and effective succession planning. The role also leads or oversees a diverse range of initiatives aimed at improving quality, compliance, cost, or time, and where appropriate, leads the development of new methodologies or processes to provide business benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience leading global cross-functional working groups and teams.
  • Proven leadership ability promoting, motivating, and empowering others.
  • Significant understanding of strategy formulation and evaluation in a clinical or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Experience of leading a development team in a global environment.
  • Conceptual, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to influence strategically and persuade tactfully.
