About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director – Head of Credit and Municipals Product Control within CIB Finance. This leadership role directs the Product Control function supporting the business, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of profit and loss reporting, balance sheet substantiation, and the overall control environment. The position collaborates with business units, Finance leadership, Risk, Operations, and Technology to deliver business objectives while maintaining compliance with internal governance and external regulatory requirements. In this role, you will: Lead the Credit and Municipals Product Control organization, supporting credit trading (investment grade, high yield, structured credit as applicable), municipal securities, financing, and related businesses. Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly P&L production and reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely escalation of issues across Credit and Municipals portfolios. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Credit and Municipal P&L drivers and risk, including spread movements, yield curve dynamics, valuation methodologies, accruals, and funding impacts, enabling effective analysis of market movements and informed risk mitigation. Ensure robust balance sheet substantiation, reconciliations, and financial controls across Credit and Municipal inventories, including positions, reserves, and valuation adjustments. Partner with Credit and Municipals business leadership on new initiatives, product changes, and strategic priorities, providing a strong finance, valuation, and control perspective. Maintain a strong risk and control framework, including adherence to internal policies, governance standards, model controls, price testing, and RCSA requirements. Represent Credit and Municipals Product Control in regulatory exams, internal audits, and senior management governance forums. Lead and develop global Product Control teams, including onshore and offshore resources, with a focus on talent development, accountability, and operational resilience. Drive process improvement, standardization, automation, and data quality initiatives in partnership with Technology and Finance Transformation teams.
