Responsibilities The Execute Director of Government Reporting & Reimbursement is responsible for providing executive leadership and strategic guidance regarding Medicare and Medicaid reporting with additional focus on cost management strategies. The Executive Director will manage and guide internal and external personnel responsible for cost reports, the Interim rate package for the Medicare and Medicaid Fiscal intermediary, scrubbing of the bad debt logs and analyzing disproportionate share to evaluate Hospital reimbursement status. The Executive Director will provide guidance to achieve coordination of data, relative reimbursement issues, to achieve increased coordination and consistency of reporting across prime facilities and assist management in their understanding of the impact of proposed or finalized changes to the government payor programs Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Must have minimum of 10-15 years healthcare finance experience with demonstrated knowledge of cost reporting and government payer oversight.
  • Specifically, has experience working on Medicare bad debts, S-10 logs, and Federal and State DSH programs.
  • Must have multi-state experience, ideally in CA, TX, NJ, and PA.
  • Must have a strong background in financial analysis and cost accounting.
  • Must familiar with Medicare language, terminology, and program guidelines.
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel is necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cost reporting software is highly desirable
  • CPA Preferred
  • Master’s in business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $110,011.20 to $209,996.80 on an annualized basis.
  • The compensation estimate noted above is specific to California and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location.
  • The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
