About The Position

The Executive Director, Global Capital Markets leads critical financial functions that directly impact our company's capital allocation, debt management, and investment portfolios and related forecasting and reporting. The position supports senior leadership including the Treasurer, CFO, and CEO to make capital allocation strategy recommendations to the Board of Directors. In addition, the position plays a primary Treasury role in directly supporting business development opportunities from evaluation through transaction close. The Executive Director oversees a team of four finance professionals who collaborate closely with external and internal stakeholders including rating agencies, banks, diversity firms, Corporate Financial Services, Business Development and FE&A. The position is also directly responsible for the management of our company's bank group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related.
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in finance, accounting or related.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-range consolidated balance sheet and cash flow forecasts to guide capital allocation and capital structure decisions.
  • Recommend strategies for returning cash to shareholders, managing balance sheet capacity, and maintaining appropriate credit ratings.
  • Prepare net interest income/ expense and share count forecasts.
  • Conduct ad hoc scenario planning and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee our company's share buyback program, including analysis, recommendation of repurchase strategies, dealer selection and full execution management.
  • Manage relationships with repurchase dealers and monitor program and dealer performance.
  • Oversee management of our company's $40 billion long-term debt and commercial paper portfolios.
  • Develop strategy and manage execution of new debt issuances, including utilization of derivative instruments to hedge interest rate risk.
  • Evaluate and execute opportunistic liability management transactions such as tender offers and call exercises.
  • Develop and execute Asset/ Liability Management (ALM) strategies, including utilization of interest rate swaps.
  • Oversee our company's $6-$8 billion headquarters investment portfolio.
  • Ensure investment portfolio optimizes returns while managing risks and ensuring liquidity to fund business operations and commitments.
  • Provide financial analysis, capital structure advice, and funding guidance to support company's business development activities.
  • Partner with business development teams to evaluate transaction structures and financing implications.
  • Support corporate due diligence, transaction close and integration planning from treasury perspective.
  • Manage relationships with our company's bank group, including their support of Treasury's strategic priorities, transactional activities and our company's $6 billion revolving credit facility.
  • Serve as primary contact for rating agencies (Moody's, Standard & Poor's), maintaining relationships, interpreting rating methodologies, and managing quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
  • Oversee preparation of monthly operating reports and periodic presentations for the Treasurer, Finance Risk Committee, CFO, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors.
  • Manage and develop 2 direct reports and a full team of 4 finance professionals.
