About The Position

The position involves managing third-party engineering contracts, vendors, and contractors in close coordination with the asset services team to ensure the mission-critical operations and maintenance of laboratory buildings. The role requires the development and implementation of five-year capital plans for highly technical facilities, as well as the management of standard operating procedures for new and existing assets to ensure compliance and a systematic approach. The individual will need to manage competing priorities, allocate time effectively, and ensure that targets and timelines are met. Additionally, the role includes overseeing technology support for buildings, ensuring systems are maintained and functioning efficiently, and coordinating vendors in response to service requests from tenants for minor repairs and general facility renovations. The position also involves recommending capital improvements and operational changes to enhance corporate sustainability, arranging communication with tenants for maintenance and repairs, and providing technical support for facilities maintenance. The individual will assist in monitoring and troubleshooting building mechanical and security systems, and will coordinate with tenants and contractors to minimize disruptions during capital projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of building systems, commissioning, and design.
  • Working knowledge of property management, building design, and real estate, with an interest in lab space.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with CADD, BMS systems, and maintenance work request systems.
  • Client service orientation and collaborative work style.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of thermal metering and utility sub-metering systems.

Responsibilities
