About The Position

The Executive Director, Enterprise Platforms, Data & Operations, is a senior enterprise leader responsible for the end-to-end operational delivery of TIFF’s investment and client service platform. Reporting to TIFF’s COO, this role oversees Investment & Fund Operations, Reporting, Data & Analytics, and serves as a critical connector across Investments, Clients, Finance, Technology, Risk, and Compliance. This role will partner closely with the client-facing team, led by the Chief Client Officer. This individual is accountable for ensuring that TIFF delivers a seamless, accurate, scalable, and institution-grade experience to clients and internal stakeholders—while also modernizing the firm’s data infrastructure and operational capabilities. The role combines strategic leadership with deep operational fluency and is expected to operate with significant autonomy, judgment, and influence.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressively senior experience across investment operations, reporting, analytics, and data management within an OCIO, asset manager, fund administrator, or institutional investment organization.
  • Demonstrated success leading and scaling multi-functional teams in complex, data-intensive environments.
  • Deep expertise in institutional investment data, performance measurement, attribution, and OCIO structures.
  • Strong systems orientation, with hands-on experience across portfolio management, reporting, and data platforms.
  • Proven ability to operate as a senior leader—setting strategy, influencing peers, and partnering effectively with executive leadership.
  • Exceptional analytical rigor, judgment, and attention to detail, balanced with the ability to prioritize and scale.
  • Clear, confident communicator able to translate complexity for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Leadership & Strategy Help set the vision and direction for TIFF’s client delivery, operational, and reporting functions, ensuring alignment with the firm’s growth strategy and mission.
  • Serve as a senior thought partner to executive leadership on operational risk, scalability, technology investment, and data strategy.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multi-disciplinary teams across client administration, operations, reporting, and analytics, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong governance, internal controls, and operating disciplines across all functions under remit.
  • Client Services Own the client delivery model, in areas related to performance reporting and operational coordination.
  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience across all mandates, serving as an escalation point for complex client issues related to data, reporting, or operations.
  • Partner closely with Client CIO Directors and Client Strategy leadership to align operational execution with client objectives and expectations.
  • Oversee the production and delivery of quarterly client reporting, ad hoc analyses, and meeting materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timeliness.
  • Ensure Operations and Reporting teams efficiently and flawlessly execute all onboarding activities, including portfolio reconstruction, system setup, and funding transition Reporting, Data & Analytics Provide firmwide leadership over investment reporting, performance measurement, attribution, exposure, liquidity, and risk analytics.
  • Ensure the integrity, consistency, and interpretability of all client-facing and internal reporting across customized mandates and pooled vehicles.
  • Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, decision-useful insights for investment teams, senior leadership, and clients.
  • Oversee a high-volume reporting environment supporting client mandates, funds, internal dashboards, and ad hoc analyses.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on performance methodologies, calculation standards, and OCIO-specific reporting requirements.
  • Partner with Technology team to architect and implement the firm's data-driven technology platform, serving as both primary business sponsor and key end-user of the platform Own relationships with core data, analytics, and portfolio management platforms (e.g., Solovis, FactSet, Bloomberg, custodial feeds).
  • Investment & Fund Operations Oversee all investment and fund operations, including SMA and PE operations, trade processing, reconciliations, capital activity, and custodian relationships.
  • Ensure operational excellence across public and private market activities, including capital calls, distributions, and fund accounting coordination.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external service providers and custodians, including oversight of service quality and issue resolution.
  • Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to mitigate operational risk and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
