RaceTrac is looking for an experienced and forward‑thinking Executive Director of Enterprise Applications to lead the strategy, performance, and evolution of our enterprise application ecosystem. This senior leader will oversee more than 400 applications—including Workday Financials, Workday for HR, ServiceNow, Salesforce, and key corporate systems—and ensure they are reliable, scalable, and aligned with RaceTrac’s long‑term business goals. This role is ideal for a seasoned applications leader with deep Workday expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to influence at the highest levels of the organization. As a key member of our technology leadership team, you’ll partner closely with the Senior Leadership Team, guide a team of managers and technical professionals, and play a critical role in RaceTrac’s succession‑planning strategy. What You’ll Do • Set the vision and strategy for RaceTrac’s enterprise applications, ensuring systems support growth, efficiency, and operational excellence. • Provide leadership for the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications—with a strong emphasis on Workday. • Build trusted partnerships with SLT, business owners, Finance, HR, and IT to ensure alignment and shared accountability. • Oversee application roadmaps, licensing, vendor relationships, and total cost of ownership. • Champion new technologies, including AI‑enabled capabilities, that enhance automation, decision‑making, and user experience. • Lead, coach, and develop a team of managers and technical experts; build a strong leadership pipeline and support succession planning. • Drive enterprise‑wide process improvements that simplify work for team members and elevate the guest experience. • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to strengthen RaceTrac’s competitive advantage. • Serve as the executive escalation point for critical Corporate Applications issues. What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months) • Strong, trust‑based relationships with SLT, business owners, and IT leadership. • A clear, actionable roadmap for modernizing and optimizing the enterprise application portfolio—especially Workday Financials and HR. • Improved communication and alignment between IT and business units. • Early wins in system stability, process optimization, or cost efficiency. • Demonstrated strategic foresight in identifying opportunities for AI, automation, and scalable enterprise solutions. • Recognition as a high‑potential leader capable of stepping into broader executive responsibilities.
