The Executive Director is responsible for directing the day-to-day functions of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern Assisted Living Facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be always provided to guests.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 4 year degree and/or meet WAC Regulatory requirements.
  • Must demonstrate a minimum of two (2) years' experience as a licensed Assisted Living facility Administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility's programs, policies and activities.
  • Prepare an annual operating budget for approval by the governing board, review and interpret monthly financial statements, and keep abreast of the economic status of the facility.
  • Consult with department directors concerning the operation of their departments to assist in eliminating/correcting problem areas, and/or improvement of services or competence of work force.
  • Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, etc. to represent the facility in dealings with outside agencies, and to keep abreast of current data affecting nursing facilities.
  • Ensure thorough investigations are conducted and reported to appropriate personnel/agencies for misconduct and counsel/discipline personnel as necessary.
  • Participate in state/federal surveys of the facility, assist in developing plans of correction for cited deficiencies, and ensure such deficiencies do not recur.
  • Maintain a good public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and community alike.
  • Oversee training for the facility and guide department directors in the topic selection, planning, conducting, and scheduling of training classes, on-the-job training and orientation programs.
