About The Position

As the Executive Director of the Empire Beauty School in Portage, MI, you will lead all operational, educational, compliance, and administrative functions of the school. This role involves direct interaction with cosmetology students and staff to ensure a high-quality educational experience, while also overseeing school operations, admissions, and community partnerships.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of combined work experience and education in management and operational management.
• Management experience is required; operational management experience is preferred.
• School leadership experience in a post-secondary environment is a plus.
• Proven ability to effectively lead a team and manage budgets.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing accreditation and/or compliance is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and execute established policies and procedures.
• Experience with student admissions/enrollment is a bonus.
• A Vocational Diploma, or an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all school operations including admissions and enrollment processes.
• Directly manage students, staff, salon clients, and community partnerships.
• Conduct orientation and advise students on their educational journey.
• Complete classroom observations and maintain student and staff records.
• Address all issues pertaining to school operations.
