About The Position

The Executive Director for the Cincinnati Artist Directory will lead a new organization aimed at enhancing the visibility and collaboration within the region's creative community. This role focuses on developing a comprehensive artist database, fostering connections between artists and patrons, and ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategic initiatives, day-to-day operations, and community engagement, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Cultural Economy and an advisory committee.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Arts Administration, Art History, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record in a leadership position at an arts or non-profit organization.
• Working knowledge of the local artist community and existing personal network.
• Experience with marketing methods and tools for launching and promoting new ventures.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

• Experience developing and managing web-based platforms.
• Basic website management skills, including administration of a Content Management System (CMS).
• Proficiency in record-keeping software and online communication technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote the artist database within the regional arts community.
• Support the creation of an engaged, diverse, and inclusive Advisory Committee.
• Oversee all marketing, branding, and development strategies for the organization.
• Manage the financial affairs of the organization, ensuring sustainability and proper financial controls.
• Maintain and update the website and database, onboarding new artist members.
• Build and foster relationships with constituents, partners, and funders.
