About The Position

The Executive Director, Assistant Controller at V2X is a key accounting resource responsible for overseeing all revenue recognition activities within the company. This role involves managing revenue recognition policies, reviewing quarterly program EACs, and harmonizing revenue recognition processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will have management experience in a government contracting environment and will work collaboratively with various departments to enhance accounting policies and internal controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required, active status preferred.
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience.
  • Experience with managing inter/intracompany transactions and elimination entries.
  • Systems experience with Infinium, JAMIS, IFS, Kyriba or Ultipro is a plus.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in government contracting industry preferred.
  • Experience with a Big 4 or other national accounting firm preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review revenue recognition processes across the organization and implement enhancements for consistency.
  • Manage revenue recognition policy, including EAC policy.
  • Review all level three EACs for consistency and approve final submissions quarterly.
  • Review and approve revenue recognition checklists for contracts and modifications over $15 million ACV.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP by reviewing accounting and finance policies and procedures.
  • Drive standardization and documentation of processes and controls.
  • Manage V2X Risk Assessment process with the VP of Internal Audit, assessing company risk and developing mitigation activities.
  • Evaluate and optimize revenue recognition processes for automation and accuracy.
  • Establish strong relationships with inter-departmental peers as the go-to revenue recognition source.
