About The Position

The Executive Director of Artificial Intelligence at Broadcast Music, Inc. is responsible for setting the company's overall AI strategy, which includes the design, development, and implementation of technologies that will drive business transformation and enhance customer experiences. This role involves preparing the strategy for ethical AI use, identifying impactful AI projects, and overseeing the implementation of AI infrastructure and platforms. The Executive Director will communicate the AI strategy to various stakeholders and support the company's core values, including diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Ten (10) years' related technical and leadership experience within IT architecture and/or development areas.
• In-depth knowledge of current AI research areas and trends.
• Experience building machine learning models including data preparation techniques and feature engineering.
• Knowledge of current developments in AI - Safe AI, Ethical AI, Fair AI.
• Experience with Cloud AI/ML services on AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Experience with Cloud computing services.
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies and related cloud services.
• Experience with software development lifecycle and project implementation methodologies such as agile.
• Experience with software engineering principles.
• Experience with DevOps concepts for ML pipeline automation.
• Infrastructure knowledge related to physical/virtual machines for model retraining.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the strategy for ensuring BMI's use of ethical AI, including spearheading an inter-department AI governance team.
• Identify new business models that could be enabled using AI technologies.
• Identify AI projects of high business impact including both product-related projects and research projects.
• Determine the AI projects/products implementation processes including project inception, exploration phase, model building phase, model deployment, and model retraining.
• Prepare annual roadmap for implementation of identified AI projects.
• Prepare the plan and oversee the implementation of the AI platform for deploying and hosting ML models.
• Identify technologies for development, testing, and deployment of AI/machine learning models.
• Implement quality assurance, performance testing, and model acceptance processes.
• Implement continuous delivery/deployment strategies of machine learning models.
• Implement machine learning pipeline automation for automated ML model retraining and testing.
• Oversee the implementation of AI infrastructure for model training/retraining and deployment in production.
• Ensure the use of cloud services in relation to local infrastructure.
• Communicate BMI's AI strategy to stakeholders including affiliates, customers, partners, employees, and the public.
• Support BMI core values and cultivate a culture of diversity and inclusion.
