About The Position

The Executive Director, Application Sales is a high-impact Area Sales Leader tasked with creating and implementing the strategic vision for delivering complex, customized solutions that drive business growth. Responsible for overseeing the Application sales team, you will ensure that your team is a high-performing group with expertise in the retail solutions that will deliver on our strategic growth initiatives. Your role involves hiring and coaching a world class team of sales SME's, fostering and maintaining strategic relationships, guiding product development through client feedback, and aligning cross-functional efforts to ensure the realization of strategic sales goals. As an executive leader, you will report directly to senior management, providing key insights and driving the organization's sales success and competitive positioning in the industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in solution sales or senior sales roles, preferably in retail with a focus on Retail Technologies including POS, Loyalty, Ecommerce and Business Services.
  • Extensive experience in SaaS, Edge Computing and leading solution-based sales initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead complex sales cycles, build relationships with C-level executives, and negotiate multi-million-dollar contracts.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel frequently in the defined region for both client and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute a comprehensive strategic vision for Point of Sale (POS) and Consumer Engagement solution sales across North America that aligns with overall corporate objectives and growth targets.
  • Hiring, leading, coaching and mentoring a team of sales specialists to achieve substantial business growth, ensuring they have the tools, resources and training to achieve goals.
  • Lead negotiations for the most strategic deals, including contract terms, pricing, and non-standard requirements, and leaning into deals to help close.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with clients, industry leaders, and internally, collaborating across departments to align product offerings with market demands.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, identify new business opportunities, and serve as an ambassador for the company in client and industry settings.
  • Drive sales reporting, funnel management and accurate sales forecasting principles with weekly reporting to senior management.
  • Provide ongoing enablement of field sales concerning software updates, business transformation initiatives, value selling and buying models.
