About The Position

The Executive Director of Administrative Services is a senior management role responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of the Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioner's Office. This position involves leadership and management of Human Resources, Risk Management, Organizational Development, and Administrative Personnel, ensuring these areas operate efficiently and align with the strategic goals of the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or Human Resources.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative services, with significant experience in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and development programs.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Identify and assess potential risks to the organization.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies.
  • Coordinate insurance coverage and claims processing.
  • Ensure workplace safety and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including planning, preparation, and monitoring.
  • Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Manage procurement processes and vendor relationships.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for administrative services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to support organizational goals.
  • Represent the department in meetings and on committees as required.
