About The Position

The Executive Compensation Manager position is responsible for leading programs, incentive plan design for STI and LTI elements, and conducting analysis related to merit, bonus and equity for our executive population. Scope of responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, interacting and presenting to high-level executives, preparing materials for the Board of Directors’ Compensation Committee meetings and annual proxy statements, managing internal and external partners and vendor relationships, maintaining executive salary structures, and advising on executive promotions, new hire offers and leveling to fulfill all the duties of the executive compensation function. This position reports to the Senior Director, Executive Compensation and is part of the Total Rewards team. The preference is for this role to be located on-site in Washington, DC in the United States. Relocation assistance may be considered based on business needs. Remote candidates may also be considered.

Requirements

  • BA or BS from an accredited university in finance, business administration, HR, economics, or related field; MBA a plus
  • At least 5+ years of executive compensation experience in a publicly traded company (i.e., a company listed on a stock exchange and subject to SEC reporting requirements) or in a consulting role supporting public company clients is required.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data, assess trends, and interpret compensation metrics and survey data
  • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial statements, markets, compensation structures, and regulatory environment, including SEC reporting requirements related to executive compensation
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with HRIS (WorkDay a plus) and expert level of analytical and presentation tools (MS Office Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel – Approximately once a quarter to attend conferences, company events or training, team meetings and/or meetings with other stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Total Rewards team associates to deliver best-in class programs;
  • Develop relationships across the enterprise in legal, finance, payroll and business-based HR to provide comprehensive support and achieve continuous improvement in the administration of executive compensation programs;
  • Manage vendor relationships and other external partners to provide market insight and build expertise; and
  • Conduct research and analysis to facilitate informed decision-making and maximize returns on executive program design, features and benefits.
  • Direct special projects to enhance internal processes and drive effective metric measurement.
