About The Position

Executive Communications System Administrator (VIP) provides on-call/on-site support for all systems/services/networks operated and maintained by the Executive Communications Technical Support Team. Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software. Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures. -Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues. -Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software. -Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. -Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels. -Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions. -Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations. -Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. -Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users. -May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies. -May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals. May serve as a team or task lead. Supports design and planning of mobile and deployable network communications systems. Provides support to the USCENTCOM COOP. Installs laptop load set configurations including unique user profiles on all relevant mobile kit components within the scope of this task and update and modify these configurations or profiles as needed. Maintains accurate inventory data of all equipment included in deployable communications suites and any spare equipment.

Requirements

  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree, 5+ years of experience of Systems/Network administration experience
  • Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification: Security + CE
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this opportunity
  • US Citizenship Required
