About The Position

Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice President, Communications, this position directly supports the executive communications team by advancing DFW Airport’s communications strategy through impactful executive written and visual storytelling. This role supports executive communication through preparing speeches, talking points, developing and refining presentations, and coordinating and producing visual narrative materials that elevate the voice and vision of airport leadership. Additionally, the position collaborates with the Communications and Marketing team to create high-quality, brand-aligned visual and written content for internal and external audiences on a wide variety of subjects.

Requirements

  • Three (3) plus years of experience in professional executive or visual communications, graphic design, multimedia production, or a related role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro or After Effects), Canva and design principles
  • Skill in visual design, layout, and attention to detail.
  • Skill in visual storytelling, creative problem-solving, and initiative.
  • Skill in organizational and time management, with the ability to meet tight and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to present complex information into simple, engaging visual formats.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing, across multiple digital platforms, with stakeholders from varying levels.
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, operational environment.
  • Ability to research, translate and distill complex topics into clear, engaging, and visually compelling communications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with internal communications or employee engagement campaigns
  • Familiarity with construction or infrastructure-related communications.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Final Cut Pro, or other video editing tools.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards for digital content

Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and enhance high-visibility executive presentations and written communication materials, including speeches and talking points, ensuring accuracy, clarity, professionalism, and brand consistency.
  • Partner with Sr. Executive Communications Specialist and select leaders to translate key content and data into persuasive written and visual narratives through visual storytelling and design within public and internal presentations.
  • Partner with internal departments to research topics and refine talking points on complex issues.
  • Ensure visual and written consistency across all materials, maintaining alignment with DFW’s brand standards and tone. Serves as a quality control resource for executive and internal communications requiring high attention to detail and polish.
  • Works cross-functionally with the Communications, Marketing, and Creative teams to support enterprise campaigns and initiatives that require visual and written storytelling and presentation design.
  • Support with scheduling, coordinating detailed event logistics and drafting briefings.
