About The Position

Food and beverage plays a central role in the member experience, and culinary excellence is a defining hallmark of the Club. The Role Woodmont Country Club is seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to serve as the culinary leader and public face of the Food & Beverage program. This is a highly visible role that extends beyond the kitchen and into leadership, culture, and member engagement. While culinary administration and operational discipline are important, the greatest impact of this role comes from world-class culinary talent, pride in craft, strong leadership presence, and the ability to listen, engage, and elevate the overall operation. Core Purpose & Impact The Executive Chef is the face of the culinary department and a key ambassador of Woodmont’s standards. The Executive Chef must: • Maintain a visible and approachable presence throughout the Club • Listen to feedback and perspectives while upholding standards • Lead with integrity, accountability, and humility • Model professionalism and excellence at all times • Balance approachability with authority and clear direction Culinary Leadership & Craft The Executive Chef leads culinary vision and execution across: • À la carte dining • Banquet and private events • Member celebrations and club traditions • Signature and high-profile events Key expectations include: • Producing exceptional food rooted in strong fundamentals • Elevating classic dishes with precision and consistency • Introducing creativity and innovation where appropriate • Maintaining quality, pacing, and execution across all venues • Demonstrating passion and pride in culinary craft Culture, Community & Awareness Woodmont is a close-knit, community-oriented club. The Executive Chef is expected to demonstrate awareness of Jewish traditions and holiday observances that are meaningful to the Club and to work collaboratively with leadership to support related programming. Cultural understanding is important, but it complements, rather than outweighs, culinary excellence and leadership. Team Leadership, Coaching & Development At its core, this is a people leadership role. Responsibilities include: • Coaching and mentoring sous chefs, chefs de cuisine, and culinary leaders • Developing future leaders and strengthening the culinary bench • Setting clear expectations and holding teams accountable • Creating a culture of pride, professionalism, and respect • Elevating morale, retention, and overall performance Operational & Administrative Leadership Strong operational fundamentals are essential. Responsibilities include: • Oversight of culinary operations across all outlets • Partnership with Food & Beverage leadership on budgeting and cost control • Management of food cost, labor efficiency, and purchasing • Compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards • Implementation of systems that drive consistency and accountability Strategic Alignment & Excellence The Executive Chef supports departmental strategic goals with a focus on Excellence.
