About The Position

Our Quincy based Client is hiring an experienced Executive Chef to join their team. They feature a scratch kitchen, craft cocktails, and a New England-based beer list that was voted "Best of Boston" by Boston Magazine in their first year.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a head chef
  • Excellent record of kitchen management
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Capable of delegating multiple tasks
  • Communication and leadership skills
  • Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)

Responsibilities

  • Build a team rapport with General Manager, owner, and entire management Staff
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
  • Collaborate with Owner on menu creation and special menus
  • Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
  • Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
  • Recruit, Train, and manage kitchen staff
  • Rectify arising problems or complaints
  • Give prepared plates the “final touch”
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Interact with guests tableside
  • Maintain and enforce uniform and Kitchen safety standards that conform to Quincy Health Code
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations
  • Keep time and payroll records
